Considered an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Nayarit, tambuchi is a fun game that is part of the customs of the inhabitants of the different Wixárica villages in the region. To play it, girls use a rikuri or handkerchief with which they throw the ball or tambuchi.
In a 16-meter space with a string or thread as a net, two posts; a line is marked along the line of the posts, two steps are measured on either side, and another equal line is marked on the opposite side; if, while playing, you step where the two steps were marked, you lose.
The game consists of throwing the ball to the opposing player and vice versa, with the goal of preventing it from falling or colliding with each other. The game is governed by points.
